Mr. Goatsie

This is the last project for Presentation & Design, and then freedom for 2 months till the next semester!

As to what the projects about, we basically needed to choose an animal with diverse texture/hair and draw it with inks/pigma pens/etc. I chose the infamous head butting animal, aka. Mr. Goat! Not much to show since I've only invested 3 hrs into this but I'll eventually post updated photos of the finished piece, thats if I get it done before Dec 9th!

Photoshop Bug Project

The semester is ending and there's still a few projects I need to finish, especially this week. Our photoshop project is due Friday, Dec 4th and I like to think I'm 80% done.

So let me explain the project, basically we need to create a semi-realistic bug in an unlikely fantasized type of environment. I had a few idea's sketched out that would have made nice pieces but in the end I decided to stick with my metro (underground subway) theme that I've been working on this semester. I'd like to think that I've spent approx. 5 hrs on my project, lets just say that caterpillars aren't my forte.

All that remains is shading, details, highlights in the background. I don't think I'll make it too detailed, I don't want it to take away the details in the caterpillar so I think a soft blend will do. Anyways we'll see how it turns out by the end of this week. I promise to post the final image once it's done!

Art History - Contemporary Project

I had a project due today for my Art History & Aesthetics class. Basically I stayed up all night and well now my project is done and ready to hand in.

I decided to con-temporize one of Leonardo Da Vinci's well renowned drawings of the Virtruvian Man by replacing the male figure with Lady GaGa. I know, I know it's pretty silly but if you ever watched her music video's you'd understand.

Anyways I rushed through the project so I'm not completely satisfied with the final piece, I feel like I could have done a lot more if I didn't procrastinate all week. The type of media I used are ink pens, tea and soya sauce (you can imagine the smell) on Fabriano paper . I think I'll plan on using my illustration for a future GaGa t-shirt, so for those thinking about snatching my idea; think again!

Here are some step by step photos I took in order to get this ancient like texture on my paper, enjoy!

Step 1: Ink out your lineart

Step 2: Splat some Tea on dat paper

Step 3: Make sure to spread and drip the excess tea

Step 4: Make sure to bake your paper so that the tea gets a nice golden look to it.

Step 5: Add some Soya Sauce to enhance the contrast and BAM it's done!
